Hours of online cooking

Thanks to a grant from the Heart of England Foundation, in 2021 we hosted online healthy cooking classes for community members in Solihull. Some of our participants were from single-parent headed families who often find it difficult to find the time to cook from scratch, others had disabilities which meant they sometimes avoided cooking out of ease and others were young people who recently have moved into independent living and were learning to cook for the first time! What they all had in common was a desire to learn new skills that would help them to cook healthy, budget friendly and most importantly, tasty meals from fresh and simple ingredients and from the comfort of their own home.

"It was lovely to do the cooking session. Me and my son really enjoyed it and it gave us something different to do together. I am so glad that I was offered these classes as we loved them."

"I will definitely use the recipes again - actually I've already cooked the Katsu curry again since the class"
